Client Confidentiality

Client information and email lists are confidential, and we do not share our lists with outside companies. All therapists at Massage Therapy Center respect client confidentiality outside the bodywork session.

Quiet Policy

We ask our clients to not speak in the hallway and to turn off all cellular devices during their visit. Once you’re in your designated room, feel free to let your therapist know your wishes for the session.

The Bodywork Session

Each therapist determines how best to perform your therapeutic session. Our therapists do their best to meet each client’s needs and are willing to take directives regarding massage pressure and areas that you would like to have worked on.

Right to Refuse or Reassign Service

Massage Therapy Center reserves the right to refuse, discontinue, or reassign services at its discretion when it determines that a session cannot be conducted safely, effectively, or within appropriate professional boundaries.

This includes, but is not limited to, situations involving:

  • Therapist–client mismatch or lack of therapeutic fit

  • Inability to maintain a professional and respectful environment

  • Therapist determination that they cannot provide effective care

All such decisions are made based on legitimate business and professional considerations and are applied in compliance with applicable laws, including the California Unruh Civil Rights Act.

Massage Therapy Center does not discriminate on the basis of any protected characteristic.

Therapist Code of Ethics

Therapists at Massage Therapy Center Palo Alto will abide by the Code of Ethics of the industry standards described by the American Therapy Association.

By booking an appointment, clients acknowledge and agree to these terms.
